Some buildings have a basement or an underground garage. For this, you have to dig and drill very deep. There are construction companies that specialize solely in deep excavation. They need special equipment for this.

You can make many discoveries during excavation work. In a city as old as Trier, you often stumble upon secrets from bygone eras while digging: remains of old houses.
